Cobb AP Discussion Thread

I think.. Wait.. Thinking is my problem...

Ok, I've been reading this forum and I haven't really put 2 and 2 together but I just want to make sure..

I see a lot of ppl talking about running the 93 Octane maps but when I look at COBB Speed6 Maps it's all 91. I looked at the Speed3 Maps and it has both.. and TON more options.

Retarded question, are the maps on the Speed3 compatible with the Speed6!? I don't have 91 Octane here. Only 93 (sheetz carries 92... well bad 92 anyway).

If so... I hate my life for not knowing this... lol

no you cant use the ms3 maps.. you can still use the 91 oct map even if you use 93 gas. by using 93 oct with a 91 map you reduce your chances of seeing detonation (knock)

ok well finally had a chance to get the primary o2 in and even though my fuel trims are still tying to settle in my finding where interesting! i was telling you guys something was wrong b/c my wideband read around 11.5-11.6 and primary read 10.88. well i did a log last night and will be doing more to make sure i am right in saying this but for some reason my o2 sensor fried! 50,000 on the car and 600.00 later on all new sensors i find my stock wideband was ******. with the new one it looks spot on but we will see. i'll keep you guys posted.

Just received my AP today!!!!! I'll be installing it this evening, hopefully. The only engine mods I have are a K&N drop in, PG turbo inlet, Rear motor mount, and a Forge BPV. What do you all think might be an ideal map for that setup? I've also got the PG SRI which should be in tomorrow.

I'd probably run a Stage 1 map for those mods. Going with a conservative map will be fine for you.

Oh wow, what a difference this thing makes! I know that the Dyno on it isn't accurate but it said i'm getting around 280hp and 314 lb./ft. now.

They haven't actually commented on which additional feature they're adding. Aside from that, they've been testing it on local cars, and it's a pretty quick setup, so we should hopefully see it soon.

All of the MS AP's are ver. 2 from Cobb, but I've never seen one with those jumpers in it. The new packaging was a lot smaller than that box, so who knows what those jumpers do.

EDIT: I think those pictures are actually for another brand AP, such as Subaru or Mitsu.

thats what i was thinking, because its the same part number as the ones being sold now. they probably just used the pic of a subbie like you said steve. maybe those jumpers can let us use the no lift shift and launch control if they decide to make for the ms6
