after some sprited driving today i went to stop and the clutch wouldnt disengage when i pressed in the clutch. so i had to drive home with no clutch. it feels like there is nothing there when i press it in. the slave cylinder moves the clutch fork when i press the pedal. Maybe the fingers are broke on the pressure plate? Just wanna make sure its the clutch before i order a new one!
Thanks
Cody

once in gear the car accelerates normal and it doesnt slip. and it seems the clutch fork is loose. could the clutch fork have broken or slipped off the throwout bearing or something

yea i was going maybe thirty and coming to a stop, earlier on the highway i had gotten on it a little but nothing out of the ordinary.

I will be dropping the tranny tomorrow, and I have an act sprung 6puck ordered. How many bellhousing bolts are there, and where can I find torque specs for the bellhousing, subframe etc when i put her back together?

Something similar happened to me. I stopped & the clutch pedal didn't spring back from the floor. I was able to limp to my mechanic's shop by using my toe to pull the pedal back.

The clutch pedal bracket assembly was cracked, but the main issue was the clutch master was bad. Did you check your clutch master? That's alot cheaper & easier fix than dropping the tranny.

I'm having issues now with shifting into 1st & 2nd & reverse grinds. Now I'm trying to figure out what else is going on with my clutch!

ended up being the clutch. a portion of the disc had exploded of the disc itself. I am surprised It was holding at all. besides that the pressure plate and flywhell were donzo aswell. I got the car with 30k it has 50 now the first owner must have been pretty rough. I put in a act 6 puck and lightened flywheel, and I also threw on powerslots and hawk hps pads on all 4 corners. It's like a whole new car, I love it lol!

ps. I did it bymeslf in my driveway on jackstands without a tranny jack in about 12hrs. For all the people that say it's too hard to do with out a lift, its not. nothing about it is difficult there is just a TON of s*** to disassemble. I wouldnt suggest it if your on a time constraint but its not that bad and youll learn so much about the car and every project thereafter will seem super easy.

Wow, that's really extreme! They must've been racing it pretty heavily or they couldn't drive a manual, for the clutch to wear out that fast. My original clutch started slipping around 125k, but again, my 6 is not a Speed. Glad to hear you got it figured out & fixed.

errr mine did the same a piece of the clutch pad blew off..... lol i took it too the track on the stock build and clutch went poof eventually. I also did the 6 puck and I like it only thing that sucks is traffic, and you have to have a strong leg to push the pedal in :D
