Clutch going out?

Are there any tell signs that my clutch might be going out? I know the tranny is in good shape & the clutch fluid level is good. The clutch seems much easier to push down to the floor then it has in the past. The car has 108.00 on it the car seems to be almost slipping when I pull into our driveway. The first 10 Ft of the driveway is pretty steep. Also Ive been having trouble getting it to go into gear without grinding at times.

Any advice would be great!

It could be a leak in the clutch hydraulic system.

To test the clutch, you can try the following:
1. With the car idling, engage the e-brake so the car won't be able to move.
2. Put the transmission in fifth gear, then let out the clutch.
3. The engine should stall, indicating the clutch is forming a good connection between the transmission and engine. If the engine keeps running, the clutch could be worn.

go to about 40ish, stick it in 5th gear and floor it. if your RPMs start shooting up fast you clutch is gone. if it doesnt slip, then its still good.

I just replaced mine. It was hooking up at the very top of the pedal travel. Then the car would jerk slightly. Looked like I didn't know how to drive a clutch. Replaced the clutch and turned the flywheel and it's like new.

Help me out!

I replaced my clutch 2 years ago when I had my transmission rebuilt ('99 1.8L with 167k km). I just took the car out for a spin the other day after a long winter storage and noticed that when shifting around 4000-5000 from 3rd to 4th, if I really give it the business my clutch slips. That being said, if I rev gradually I don't have any issues.

Is it possible that my flywheel/clutch glazed over? The flywheel is the 11 y/o OEM flywheel that was machined when the transmission was swapped.

Also - will the 2.0L clutch fit with the 1.8L transmission? If I have to replace it, I'd like to put in a performance clutch to handle the auto-x and lapping duty the car will be subjected to.

Thanks in advance guys :)
