It's a complete waste of money because you can get a better clutch for less money.
I don't think we're talking about the same thing, I'm talking about an $80 replacement kit from Exedy. Do you mean a kit from Mazda?

I got the Exedy OEM replacement (it's the same brand that Mazda uses). The clutch disk looked different compared to the stock one (pic), but the feel is pretty much the same. I got the entire kit (clutch disk, pressure plate, release bearing, pilot bearing, alignment tool, and lube) for a little over $80 on amazon. The kit's part number is KMZ08.
...meGrimlock, thought I read somewhere that 2003 P5 & Speed had similar suspension & drivetrane. Are they identical or just close?
Boostr, some discrepency as to whether slave is internal & part of kit, or seperate, but I'm sure I need new....
CheeseHelmet, what brand stock do you have?, Mazda, Exedy, or other?
Oh yah, are Daikin & Exedy the same brand?
Yes. I said a stock clutch was a waste of money.
Is LUK any good, has anyone used it?
Mounts are bad but waiting for clutch replacement to get at them. Have them nylon zip tied right now.
Good to know that slave cylinder is extenal and accessable. 5 dealers in the area but none were sure!?! Probably makes sense to try that 1st.
