hmm thats very odd looking, perhaps i should look at the rear sway on my mp3 after the recent "fix"

I have this pic of mine but you can't really tell. I'll look next time i'm out side.

They make greasable poly bushing for them? if u kept them greased i dont see how they could wear. You have to use a good water proof marine grease its what i use on all the poly bushings on my camaro

Check out "klunk explained" thread by Micaspeed! for a very good explanation of how, no matter what type of bushing, or material, or grease used, that in the position it is now, it will eventually brake something down. Whether its the bushing or the bar, or the endlinks, something is going to give if it stays in the current location... :)

that is normal..

i think it limits the movement on the swaybar. If you are talking about that runner piece.. in mine you can see it to the right of the bushing.. dont mind the tape and stuff on my bushings...

Also check out my fix, it has got to be about 7 months now.. i got my bushing when i got my LSD put in last year some time.. still clunk free, and i have mad bumps and pothole that i hit all the time.. the road at the bottom of my street made my car clunk like crazy before.. now it silent.

ok sorry i finally read the hole thread my friend has a mp3 with this problem . I understand exactly why they have this problem and i would think micas kit should fix it i would trust it. Its like if u hold a weight bench bar with ur hands in the middle its hard to steady if some1 pushes down on 1 end. But if u hold it with ur hands spread out its easier to ballance. with the bushings to close to the center ur getting excessive wear on them. I also think it would make the sway bar itself flex less making it handle better

IT IS OFFICIAL!! THE E's HAVE FAILED!! The dealer confirmed this morning, not that I needed them too. They asked me what I wanted done and I told them to order me a new bar with new bushings like NEWF has suggested. They told me no problem, it's under warranty, they would order whatever I wanted them to. The bar didn't look warn but I will try it.

@DoomerMP3 -- you need to email back that Mazda engineer that said they were working on a "permanent solution" and ask him if this F-ing 'E' bushing was the "permanent" fix or not? If he says it is, then email him back and tell him the entire Mazda community is aiming to cut his nuts off and stuff them down his throat. If he says there is some other "permanent" fix in the works, ask him what exactly it is and if there's any F-ing hope that any of us will see it in our F-ing lifetime. Man I F-ing hate F-ing Mazda. Whatever happened to the class-action lawsuit that was talked about 20 pages ago? I want that to happen and have money that I can put towards the cause. F.   (rant) (rant) (chair) (pissed)

I love it when people do not read the entire thread :(

He did NOT have a new bar. they put old bushings on an old worn bar

Hello???? is thing on?

I'm not saying they won't fail, but until it's done right to begin with, I'm not saying they failed yet. In a way I'm kind of hoping they do fail so I can go back to Mazda and say SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T WAIT FOR ME TO SAY THEIR FIXED YOU ******* MORONS :)

how many miles/kms guys?

True - good point; days is really not a good example.

~3k KM's on the new E's....so still pretty preliminary to make any sort of long-term judgement call.
