Clunk Updates

Sorry for the lost at work Newf......

But on the other hand, that's good news from Mazda!

Good work one more time!!!

Did they give you an idea of when this fix will be available?

All I can say is NEWF is the man!!!!

Now we will just have to see if they actually follow through...????

How I feel as I read this thread...

I'm emotionally exhausted... phew...

Newf, it was Rye you liked right....Crown Royal perhaps....hehe:cool:

You the man cool guy.....see you at the beach:p

Thanks Newf once again for doing all this and keeping us updated......

theres not ETA but did he give you the slightest idea of when it possibly comes out?

and are there any mentioning of the front bushings? Because like you said... with the new "fix" the rear will be more stiff..... i just cant imagine the front bushings taking further beating from even a stiffer back.

BTW my car feels great after the last fix. Very solid feeling no clunks or squeeks:D

here are all the parts i got, anyone wanna explain what everything is to me:

you got the 156Ds... yup they feel great right NOW... haha it will come back.... oh it will.......:D

No ETA guys. Anytime they or any company isn't sure on an ETA, they don't give you much to go on.

So, ETA=When it's done.

Thank for your help newf.....I have a set of the D bushings on order from my dealer for two weeks.....maybe I will get the new ones instead...:-)

newf : my dealer is now refusing to replace my bushings until Mazda comes up with a new one....... can you tell that district manager guy to give my dealer a mouthful?

No can do, sorry, I already tried, my district manager cares about his region only and doesn't want to step on anyone else's toes. he's been really helpful to me, so i didn't want to push it any furth then simply suggesting it to him at the time

My advice, speak up for yourself, raise hell, go above the dealer somehow.

Besides, I don't know if replacing them is even going to do anything for you....got mine replaced last week, it last 3-4 days.

just got mine replaced again. they also touched up 3 rust spots, fixed the a/c fan switch (the a/c was cutting on and off by itself when the fan switch was on 2 or 3), ordered another set of hex screws that rusted around the center cap. i also had them order me a set of front rotors, pads, and rear rotors. i'll be having fun tomorrow.

Ouch, you ordered rotors and pads off of the dealer? That had to hurt the pocketbook. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I have to buy pads. Probably just gead to the parts store or buy a set online or something.

Where as the rust they touched up? You're in Louisiana how are you rusting out? Do you have acid rain or something there?

MSP Bushing Update

Well, just picked up my Speed from the shop....newly replaced bushings (Part#BN7H28156D - Canada), and NO clunking. These bushings are 'apparently' the new MCI fix; atleast that's what the dealership told me.

It's still early to tell, but hopefully these bushings will alleviate the clunk for the long-term. I'm really hoping so.

As well, my Stalling issue is still oustanding. MCI is apparently still working on the onboard computer software update. When it's complete, my car's computer is going to get re-flashed.

nope that's not anything new, still the same old number. Your dealer will tell you anything you wanna hear. But hopefully your clunk will not come back soon. Mine has started back already and it's only been about 2 weeks. Oh well. Just waiting for the real fix with the cylindrical bearing or whatever it is.

Ah, FANTASTIC!

Either the dealership is feeding me a line of crap, or they honestly are being fed B.S. from Mazda.

...well the least I can hope for is that it lasts longer than 2 Fu@#'n weeks.

It is the "newest" bushing(that's almost a half year old now), but it is not the NEW fix.

I will tell you guys when it's done. I'm pretty sure I'll know before the dealers will.

i just phoned Mazda Canada and complained........they said they will make my dealership's service manager call me back...........

i'll keep you guys updated on this......... i wont stop bit*hing until i see something im satisfied with....

and when i was putting back my RH last day i've notcied that 2 of my wheels were pitting... arg....
