Look for my previous posts with the bushing nos. from Summit Racing!!!

I am taking my car in Thurs for the clunk and a squeak in the front right strut.

I didn't have it when I first got the car, but now w/ almost 2K on the clock it's come up....

Damn it I hope I don't have this problem for long (does kartboy have some type of suspension bushings for this? All I saw on their website was for the scoobie!)

Well, it's been 13 days since I had my bushings replaced (Part#BN7H28156D ). Still No clunk. Now I'm just counting down the days until they start to fail........

My car is still stalling....still waiting to hear when Mazda will have an updated computer program

I can't wait for the day for the updated program (which will be NEVER :( )

I think I posted about this here a few days ago.
Anyway, recap:
Clunk back, called dealer, complained about struts squeaking and clunk.
Waited a few days.
Called dealer again, spoke to service manager again, he said he hasn't reached his rep yet, wait a few days.
Come to work this morning, message on phone from service manager, Mazda knows of the clunk problem, is working on a new bushing, would like to replace mine with the 156D as a temp fix until the new one is realeased.
have heard nothing about the squeaky struts?
Anyway, new bushings coming again, hopefully in a few days.

156D's have been good so far for me. I believe NEWF was leading this campaign and would know the answer; once he's been provided the information from MCI. Read back on his posts.

hey guys i was on Mazda about 3 weeks ago to get my bushing replaced for the 4th time. I made it clear to the service manager that i was very unhappy and was pretty angry that after one week that i had to come back and get the bushing replaced. Any way the mazda tech is a cool kid. always talk to him and see what going on. This time the mazda tech tried something new. install of putting teflon tape he got this other "tape". He said it is a GM made tape that is made for bushings. the tape is made of a very hard but flexaible platic. so far it's been 3 weeks and not clunks. but then again it's warming up now. so how know.
btw i noticed that AWR makes urethane bushings for our car.

here are some pics of the tape

yeah but just really THICK! the only way i can explain it is that you know those platic report covers. the clears ones? it's that type of matiral. thick and flexible. who know we will see what happens. if this doesn't work Mazda said they would allow me to go and get urethane bushing and they would pay for it and warrenty it.

sorry to tell you, but thats what i got on my car now too. It felt great for two weeks, then... you know what happen. The CLUNK came back.

I though it was wierd that he mentioned using GM product on a mazda. I see they must have been told to do so by somebody else.
