Clear Rims!?!?!

Besides the cost, which is prohibitive for them to be used on a Nissan. Plus, any technology developed using military $$ is military property until they say otherwise. I don't the coutry's next generation of battlefield armor is available to Xzibit to pimp your ride.

So if they are lexan, I think there would be other issues. Heat buildup behind solid plastic rims would be huge. I think the material would be damaged by heat before a pothole. With that said, however, I believe lexan is the most likely material, making them religated to poseur show use only...perfect for a 350z!
 
It better be super light-weight. Interesting concept though. Maybe a new trend...

It would show off the nice rusty brake rotors on the MSP's. Also about the wipers couldn't they make a spinner that would act like a wiper (glare)
 
LOL, yes they could. It would require quite a bit of velocity for it to squeegie the back side of the rim. But while they're at it, they might as well add some LEDs to it.
