Had the day off yesterday so I attacked the Pretzelwagon with various cleaning products. Here are the results:

looks damn nice...i like the bronze wheels

edit: how long did it take you to claybar and 3step your car?

when i did mine (MSP) it took me about 6/7 hours but, im VERY picky about my car...i think the usual person may take them 4-6 hours

What's this 3step stuff you guys are talking about, anyone got a link , i was searching and couldn't find it.

I'm thinking about getting serious about cleaning my car, and giving it a good waxing, trying to decide what to use on it.

I tried waxing before with that turtle wax crap, and it was a nightmare. I got some of it in the honeycomb grill, and never got it out.

Oh good looking car BTW. :D

Took me about 6-7 hours. Apparently, I'm as picky as MSP#735 :D

I don't like the "wet" tire look.

Put some tireshine on and let it sit for about 10 minutes then buff off the wet look with a terry towel so it doesn't look soo wet. WET WET WET WET, that's a funny word!

What rims are those and what front bumper is that? I want those times and that front bumper is sweeeeet. Mine is all rock chipped and I want to get rid of it.

The car looks awesome man. If you dont mind me asking how much are the rims and where did you get them? Do you have a drop?

Joe

ohh very nice. thats the 'system' im about to buy. BUT, you mentioned that it didnt take all the swirls out huh? damn, thats why I really need done too. anyone recommend something to get swirls out?

Nice job man!

If this stupid hurricane doesn't come my way this weekend, I'll be doing the same thing to mine! I got some Mothers Clay Bar system, Meguiar's 3-step, and a coat of NXT wax.

all are GREAT products to use, i swear by them....(nana)

stupid question, i think clay bar removes contaminants in the paint...but isnt that what megiars paint cleaner does?? also, what is bad/wrong with putting on wax after washing the car without all those extra time consuming steps?? j/w..

the paint cleaner does BASICALLY the same thing but, claying the surface is a more aggressive way of doing things..... *maybe* as far as the bad/wrong with waxing, its all personal pref...if you want to wax after washing, it wont hurt. its BEST if you use a cleaner wax alteat then the polish then seal it with a NXT wax but, me i always use the quick detail spray when im in between waxes (every wash prior to me waxing the car) thats just my .02 worth, could be wrong but, who knows! after all im not Mr. Meguire himself hehe
