Got to agree with you there. After owning a few Honda's, the trannies and engine in a honda are just the smoothest of any 4 cyl's out there.

When I had the 97' Prelude, my boss at the time had a 325i 5 spd( nice car). When I drove his, I was amazed that my prelude shifted smoother. Of course he didn't believe me, afterall, it was a BMW right.......that is until he drove mine and even he had to admit it was smoother.

Honda might be screwing up their cars looks and s***, but they still make the best engines, and trannies out of all the Japanese/american cars.

0-60 in 8.3 for a STOCK mp3? Bull. I ran a 16.5 with a stock mp3 in the 1/4 mile...and my 1/8 mile split was in 10.7s @ 67.1mph...so that would mean that it took me about 2.4 seconds to go from 60 to 67.1...doesn't sound right to me...

I've raced a civic si and I must say I got my ass waxed. It wasn't until later when I saw him that I asked what all he had done to his engine and of course he has a long list that included Jackson supercharger!

I raced a souped up Civic Si this past Saturday. I road with my bro in his 2002 Sentra SE-R SpecV and also my buddy followed us in his Stock Civic SI, Except for the AEM Cai and MSD Ignition wires. I posted this in the performance section, Anyways my bro is not that good at shifting gears yet still rookie, so i raced this Tricked out Si in his SE-R and, the guy in the Si counted 1,2, vroom three he turns his flashers on and, i tried to keep up with him witch i got a car lengh left behind and just slowed down cause there was a 45%turn. So i told him let's run'em again this time your buddy is going to flag us witch he did we bothed flashed our high beams and revved our engines to let him know we were ready. Off we go already his flashers turn on not even in 2nd gear yet, but as i hit 2nd gear i got a half a car lengh in 2nd third came i got another half a car lengh so i'm a car lengh ahead but he said third gear was his 1/4mile so i just turned my flashers on as i slowed down went back and ask his friends if he said 3third gear was 1/4mile they said yeah and who won. I said i did by 1 car lengh and his buddy's told me that he won't stop racing untill he wins. He comes back down driving fast stop to the side and "says i messed up gears let's go again so, Off we go again this time i rolled the window down so i can hear him shifting gears as 2nd came i got a 2car lengh lead as he just barely shifts to 2nd gear and he just stops and i pulled over and ask him. Why are you shaking your head he asked me what's in the SpecV, i told him just a dropt in k&n panel flat filter. He Opens his hood and shows me and my buddies that he's running Aem cam gears,Aem pulley's, Aem Cai, Dc-sport headers, Vtec controller, and a Greddy exhaust. My bro's girl sat there and said it's not how you stand by your car it's how you race your car. Me and everybody else including that guy's friend's started rolling.
