CitizenPro's Unichip Story

Isn't there a Unichip forum?? I've seen it once and did a search a google but I can't find it now. I've hit my budget for the year with the purchase of the Unichip. Next year I plan on buying a Greddy SP2 exhaust and I will get it tuned to 10psi. One thing, I've noticed that there is no difference between Map A and Map B. Is there supposed to be?

Awesome! Thanks!

Now, does anybody notice a diffence between Map A and Map B?? My car runs fine on both maps. Can someone please explain the diffence between the two maps and when I should be using Map B??
np, map B advances the timing a bit and if your not using high octane gas I believe you'll throw a CEL. IIRC

I only use High octane gas. I always try to get Shell 91 octane. So, should I use map B when I use Hi Boost? I figure if you boost, shouldn't you advance the timing? and what is the purpose of advancing the timing? does it kick in more gas??

sorry but when I ment high octane I ment like 95 (race gas)

Ok guys, I dynoed the car today on a Dynojet Dyno and these are my results. High boost ON and MAP A, I made 177whp and 199wtq. High boost ON and MAP B, I made 178whp and 186wtq. I expected to get 180 so I wasn't too far off. My stock dyno was 147whp and 170wtq. Not bad over all I think. All my bolt-ons are listed in my signature. I pretty sure I can make more power if I do a full exhaust. That will be next year's project. Thanks for all your help guys. Tommorow I'm heading to the track to tackle the 1/4 mile. I'll post times after.

Ran the 1/4 Mile today at Cayuga drag strip in Ontario, Canada. I ran three times and the best I could get was 15.068 at 94.34mph The problem with my Unichip is that power dies after the launch and and picks up shortly after. After I could overcome that, I'm sure I would have broken into the 14's. Still a great chip IMO.

Hmmmm....I recently dynoed my car with basically the same mods. I do not currently have EMS ,but my 2003 made 168WHP and almost 180TQ! I am in the process of installing a DSM AFC, and expect close to 200WHP with 8-10lbs of boost, your numbers seem a little low...Great job at the track!

I was a little upset with the dyno also. What I can't understand is that on the street my car boosts to 9-10psi easy and holds till 5k rpm. On the dyno it never went past 7psi. My friend with an Neon SRT-4 had the same problem. Can someone explain this to me? At the track I was expecting to break into the 14's but the car would buggle down after the launch and then turbo would kick in 1 second after. I tried launching at 2k rpm and 3k rpm with the same results. Next year I'm going to do my exhaust and get the Unichip tuned and hopefully I'll hit 14's easy.
