Got bored today, So i cleaned the inside of my speed3 and cut up my rear emblem.
The Whole process was very easy. I used some 10lb fishing line i had lying around, and slowly worked my way around the emblem, sorta sawing at the adhesive. One the string would go all the way under the emblem, I just sorta popped it off with my fingers. The little plastic tabs hold it on thee quite snugly.
After I pulled it off, I grabbed the Dremel and went to work. Finished it up w/ a few different files and sand paper. Then put a little chrome hobby paint on the ends. I'm going to paint it matte black, but I don't have the supplies yet. I just wanted to get the emblem cut and back on the car.
the left over adhesive came right off w/ the rub of my finger
I used Duck tape double sided tape. It's just the mess and adhesive on both sides, so there is no extra "puffy-ness". I Am trying to figure out how to seal the ends on the bottom where it's a cross-section of the plastic. Maybe a little KB-weld and then I'll paint over it.
