Did you go through a big puddle?

when i say it was pouring out side it was like mad hard... the whole street was a big'ol puddle...

damn... yea i do have a problem...

turned it on and the light was still on... i popped the hood and saw that the bottom was wet... my filter is right next to the wet spots...

i reved it a bit hard at idle and it was fine... all dandy...

i ran it in first gear and i got like a sudden fuel cut feeling so i turned to car around and said **** that s***...

sucks i can't go to work now, i'm not trying to blow my car up...

ok found the problem, its either the temp sensor the the maf... the temp sensor was all wet when i pulled it... my dad agrees wit me, ima let it sit alllll day and tomorrow to see if it dries up and it the light goes off, if not than ima be purchasing a few sensors...

wow if the sensors got wet I bet some water got into the motor. I would let it sit and change the oil if I were you.

yea i'm letting it sit, i put new oil in it for the time being... ima turn the car on tomorrow and see if it runs better... if not than ima have to do some hands on work...

Get the code read and be certain. AutoZone if you have them up there will do it for free. It rains very hard here in Florida at times and my CAI has never caused the car to throw a CEL. Did you alter the protective liner underneath the car?

i installed my new aem filter this past wednesday and i put everything exactly as it came out... it was all the same...

im going to take my car to class on monday and ima put a scanner on it to see wat code it is... unless it goes away today or tomorrow, cuz it was a little bit of water... nothing big to hydrolock my motor, it jus gave it a shock...

we do have an autozone around here and advance autoparts... im patient, i don't want to drive the car anyway...

I seen a vid on streetfire of them turning over (Turning the start key to crank her) a Civic motor with the spark plug wires pulled out and watter spalsed out up to the ceiling The Civic drove through a big pudal, with a CAI and sucked up some watter.

yea i seen that video to... that was a big ass puddle...

back on topic...

problem fixed...

i jus let the temp sensor out of its socket and let it dry along wit the hole exposed to the air so it could air dry... check engine light came off after i unplugged the neg cable of the battery and put it back on... i ran it all day after that and i gave the car a complete drive cycle and the light never came back on... problem fixed... now to jus secure that shield on the bottom better...

yea hopefully ima be able run it hard without worry... i think it runs better lol...

Too bad we were never got the chance to know what the code was, I bet it was a MAF code. Oh well, congrats on fixing the car.
