Hello everyone, I currently have 185/65r14 tires on it now. I want to upgrade to 16 in rims making the tire 205/45r16. Does anyone know if it'll affect my speedometer.

i ran 205/45-16's on my 2001 protege, and they ran just fine.

If you are worried about speeding or anything in that nature, try and use a gps or a mobile speedometer on your smartphone and see if it matches your speedomoter.

I went to 195/60/15's for the simple fact that 195/55/15s are about 50 dollars more per tire. My speedometer wound up being about 4 mph slower at around 50 mph and about 6 mph slower at 70 mph.

it didn't change too much just constant math.
