cel issues

so these past few times i have put BP gas into my car, about 1/4 of a tank to empty my cel comes on, if i use exxon or speedway, it is fine... i know i have the gas cap on tight, i make sure it clicks at least 3 times... anyone else have issues like this? it has just been with bp though, so i'm not sure what to make of it, *note to self stop with the bp*

i havent gone to get it checked yet, but its pretty much when i fill it back up, with different gas it goes away, so whenever i go in to get my oil changed ill see what the ol dealership has to say about it... then they'll wanna do an $80 check to see whats makin it go off.. blah

Dont you have an autozone or something nearby to pull the CEL code and see what it is?

ya, but after i put my cai in, it popped a cel, and i took it to autozone, and advanced auto parts and they said that mazda had it restricted and i had to take it to the dealership... that was about a year ago, so i guess i could always give it the ol college try again.

I've seen it before on my land rover. I thought I just got the new guy so I was like "let me see that thing and I'll show you how to work it." Turns out that the reader could pull the code but it couldn't tell me what that code meant. For example - code Z12345, but you reference code Z12345 on the handheld or in the cross reference book and it says "see dealer"

Get me the code, I'm manager/headmechanic at my shop. I have access to the dealer codes.
