I have a potential buyer for the car and he wanted it checked out with a third party. I said no problem since I was curious what Carmax would offer anyways. Well took it in and the car passed with flying colors and I didnt even mention about hail damage on my hood and trunk. Its really light anyways but everything was great and comments of "Super Clean" were noted from the appraiser. I was really happy until I saw the page with the price..... 10,000! **** that dude. They rely on KBB ONLY and nothing else. Well if some of you know they do not have figures on our car and thats why they said something about auction price and yada yada yada. Both of them didnt know jack about the car because when they ask "whats makes it so special" PLEAAAAASE your an idiot. So I was glad I got this for the couple who may purchase the car so they can have some assurance. But I guess I didnt expect much but I at least expected 11ish. The only MSP they have in TX Carmax's right now I think is a Spicy going for 14,9XX!(shocked) Talk about easy money for them is someone bought this car for 15k and plus on top of that interest... yikes!

Thats prolly gonna be one of your best offers at any dealer.
...and that $14.9 price is with the $2k carmax warranty. U can actually buy it without the CM Warranty most of the time. My MSP was priced at $16.5 from them. But i removed the Carmax warranty (still had mazda warranty) and it went to $14.5......and this was a mint MSP with 6k miles at the time, perfect condition.

10 g's from the dealer is good they only offered me 9,000 or 9,500 if I bought a car from them.

They would not normally even let you test drive one.
The salesman knew I was on the Ford Partner program and that Mazda had called them on my behalf ahead time so they let me drive it. They only had two in stock and only MazdaSpeed dealers got to sell them.
They had both of them locked up in the show room behind ropes with MazdaSpeed podiums next to them with brochures.
The list was 20,500 and 21,000 for 03.5. They would not give me the S-plan discount because it does not apply to speciality cars.
I owe about 4k on mine.
I don't regret buying the car. I am not real happy about the diffs breaking
I have a feeling every one ever built will break as there is a definite design flaw in the rivets that hold the ring gear to the diff body.
