Carbon Fiber & Leather Steering Wheel Mod??

Has anyone tried adding carbon fiber to their P5 leather steering wheel similar to the Lexus IS300 picture in the attached link?

I read a thread that said this company in Mesquite, Texas charges approximately $650 to do this. Not sure if that price is correct, but that's pretty pricey if it is. Not sure if there is a cheaper way to do it and if anyone has tried it?

I seriously doubt that the price is $650. Thats more then I paid for my hood(granted it was a good deal, but still)!

Look! you can see the photographer's face in the last pic! HHahahah. Talk about advertising budget. I don't think they had one. 2nd pic...that wheel looks pshopped. It's massive!! To think they could at least get someone w/ boobs!

It does cost 650.00 I called them about 2 months ago about it. They quoted me 650 and they would need my steering wheel for 21 days.

Have you priced how much it would cost to have your steering wheel recovered in leather alone (I mean covered so it looks factory)? Call around, you'll be really surprised.
