Oh, Amanda and I made it home safely on my damaged tire. I took it to TFT this morning. I had to pay $30 for a replacement (apparently their roadside hazard program doesn't cover mounting and balancing the replacement tire).
...and like most places where people get paid minimum wage to shoot the s*** with their friends...the kid who was at the desk put "right front tire" instead of "left front tire" on the work order and they replaced the wrong tire. When I pointed it out they just took the tire they removed and put it on the left wheel. So I was there an extra 25 minutes.
The good news is that I got both front tires balanced out of the deal. The bad news is that my left front rim is apparently bent. I noticed some vibration in my car recently so it didn't surprise me. However, when I took my car on the highway, the balancing job they did was superb. Even though he informed me of the bent rim, I can't feel it anymore.
