Out of your list, if it were me, I'd choose the 2001 Trans Am. prefferably with the WS6 package. Not a fan of the other 3 you listed.

so far im most interested in (in order):
WRX
SRT4
Miata (but having a hard time finding manual, decent milage)
(possibly Trans Am)
i think ive ruled out the mustang because i dont want another headache car and the only style i really like are 88-93 unless older cobra model (like 94 o something), and most have been beat and/or have 100k+ miles.
i like the wrx the most but there arent TOO many around in my range...i like the miata but state dht eproblems above, and the srt as well but only one or two maybe near me within my range.
transam is just a car i like, and since american cars are s*** for resale, makes a few possiblty available...
Matthew said:1) look into the used wrxs available near me
2) go to a dodge dealerhsip and see about a new srt4
3) look into 2002ish mustang gt coupes/convt

1997-1999 BMW 3series w/ usually 40-50k miles, great for looks again, not really. lowest milage under 17k i can find is 80 some thousand, and not in that price range.
(i-4 door usually,ci-coupe,ic-convertable,ti-crappy hatch)
1998-Up Audi A4 Turbo, 40-50k miles, great little car your price range is more on the mark this time, but dont care much for the look of the car....looks too bulky.
1998-Up Audi A6 Quattro 50-60k miles, cool pimp ride not my style
1997-1999 Mercedes SLK230, 45-60k miles, never drove one but look decent ugly, friend had one, not impressed, and youre about 6k over my price
1999-Up Acura CL, 40-60k miles, nice, smooth cars, handle well ...eeh...not too impressed witht he looks.
And finally,
1998-Up Volvo C70 convertable, 30-50k, nice car, handles and drives well. good lord, are you serious?
Off all of the above mentioned as soon as I sell my P5, its going to be either an older M3 or the C70. I driven all of the above mentioned cars expcept for the Mercedes(My friends buy wrecked cars, fix them, and sell them, I get to test drive them once in a while when they're fixed) and those were the two that stood out. They're nice, you'll definatly get the attention and are fun as anything to drive, especially the M3. Be different man, forget the WRX. Don't get me wrong I think its a great car, there are just better options out there.
