Car Newbie needing help..

i just got a mazda 3 hatchback but i know nothing about cars. which cai is the best and where can i buy parts online for cheapest? also how much difference would a cai make? what are some essential "upgrades" that do not cost too much and where/how can i do it? thanks for your time

I also have a Mazda 3S and currently at this time there dosent seem to be to many aftermarket performance parts available. AEM and Injen make a cold air intake for the 2.3, I will be getting the Injen at www.injen.com At this time I havent found any ECU upgrades either. I hear alot of people use www.ptuning.com for parts.

Welcome...

...and congrats on the new wheels!

Anthony gave you two good places to start. Try browsing the rest of the forum. Look under the "engine and performance" section and you will find alot of helpful info.

Make sure you update your info as well, it helps. (hi)

Tim

ps. I just realized we are in the "engine and performance" section (braindead ) I have to go to sleep.

The both have the same gains i think, I use and AEM one, but they can be hard to track down, AUTO EXE make one for 275 and everyone seems to have a hard on for it so might want to look into that, but they all have the same gains

depands on your tranny......automatic injen only........ manual can do both AEM and injen

Holy dead thread revival on an OP post that was in the wrong forum to begin with. The guy did not even have the same engine. He's normally aspirated and posted his question and got all his responses SIX YEARS AGO! Probably sold his car long ago.
