Car Might be TOTALED!!

True...I still can't believe mine wasn't totaled...almost $6500 in damage...I only bought it for $8500 and that was a year earlier with 50,000 less miles...

you flipped it and it was only 6500?? my car was hit and the rear driver corner was almost removed and ruined the front bumper....that was over 7k

There is almost always Hidden stuff that pops up and increases the Repair bill.

At this point....If I was you...I would hope it was totalled.

+1...you will have sooo many squeeks and creeks even after the fix...and the resale value of your car will go down wway more than the depreciation check the insurance company will cut you

oh well if its totalled im gonna buy the msp from RFC for a good deal, and buy my car back and take what i want and part the rest out

i need the third brake light delete panel if you do part it out...i lost mine somehow when changing out my shocks

lol lets wait until next week to start the lists lol. BTW does anyone know how much it costs to buy back the car?

TOtally depends on your insurance company and their buyback policy and procedures.
There is no "Standard"

10-20% of the totalled vehicles payout is not Uncommon though.

everytime i've heard of someone buying back their car it's ~1k....well for cars around ours

Typically(almost always)its bases on a percentage of its value....Your not BUying back a fERRARI FOR $1k and then your protege for the same price....No.

They have different salvage values....And there is no standard as far as I know anywhere in the country....Its totally at the Companies Discretion as to their own policies.

Some, for example, do not allow buy-backs at all.

well yeah....like i siad....cars that are priced around ours....but i didn't type that....i'm have issues with 4 hours of sleep.....i know of like 3 other people on here with msps or moded pros that bought it back after being totaled for around 1k-1500

Which sound to be about 20% of the likely payout.....
Hmmm....coincidence?

i got the quote from a shop, but the adjuster is coming like tuesday...i doubt its totalled, but im still gonna part it out and buy the MSP

for what the repairs are i can buy the msp from that guy...so that seems logical since its newer and has less miles.
