Welp, it finally happened. My car isnt even 3 months old and someone got key happy. I thought all this BS would be over with when I bought the car but nope. 6 panels keyed up. Any of you who own a black P5 would know how much of an eye sore that is. Stupid thing is I have a pretty good idea who it is. Some punk ass kids next door. Unfortunately, they're 15/16 and I can't do a damn thing about it. Too bad no one saw anything. 2 cars, 5 key jobs. Too bad the lottery doesn't strike me the same.

Happened to me about the same time after I got my car.. not 6 panels but it sucks nonetheless. Some people need to learn to respect others property and get their cars keyed the same way when their parents run out and buy them new sports cars for their birthdays

All you need is a video camera. Make the kid's dad pay for the repairs and he'll get his ass beat anyway.
Ya know, I've been seriously thinking of getting a video surveilance system for my driveway. Luckily nothing has happened to my P5, but a while back when I was driving my '87 Ford Ranger some punks decided to throw chinese food all over the hood/windshield area. :wtf: Same scenario... I was 99% certain who did it but since there were no witnesses (it happened at 2:00am) the police said there was nothing I could do except file a report of the incident. I swore that night I would never let it happen again, and they all had better run if they dare touch my P5.

Hey to make this even better, those punks parents NEVER take responsibility for their kids. A few times they were caught vandalizing the neighborhood and the stupid parents DEFENDED those punks. As mentioned in one of the replies, I filed 4 police reports already. But you know what? It doesn't do SQUAT. The cops dont give a damn. If I had a witness they MIGHT do something about it. The insurance is killing me. Sure I only have to pay the deductible every time but it adds up! As for kicking their ass? Hey, that was the first thing that crossed my mind. But I'm 24 and their not even legal. Who's side do you think the cops will take when they go home with broken bones? I'll have to post some pics for you guys. Every time I walk out to my car and look at the scratches I get all mad again.
well then.....one day, just look at them funny and provoke them ... then post up someplace comfy where you can see the car, and make like a Sniper with a BB rifle .... if you have to stay up.. stay up all night .... ( provoking them makes the chances of them doing it that same night VERY likely ) .... then take pot-shots as the little punks approach ... get rid of BB gun ...and Bam.. let them have fun trying to prove that it was you, and trying to explain what they were doing on your property so late at night ..

i dunno about where you live, but in texas if someone comes on your property like that to vandalize or rob you, you can shoot AND kill them if you have to. a man on a ranch woke up to find people stealing his pickup truck, he snuck around the end of the drive with his legally owned full auto ar-15, it took them awhile to get the truck started and as they came down the drive he walked out in front of them and held his hands up for them to stop, but they sped up and tried to hit him, he shot the driver dead in a hail of 5.56mm lead. even if its soemthing as innocent as TPing your house, its still criminal mischief and you COULD shoot them if you wanted to...
anyways, get the X5 camera or whatever that one is on the popups, i think you can get a motion sensor...if nothing happens that night, just rewind the tape and record over it again, repeat til something happens...
the only things i had done to my car was someone poured diet coke all over the top on one occasion, i found out who did it and ****** kicked his ass badly, no joke. then (i dunno if this is vandalism cuz it was my friend, just a funny prank) he took some stinky ass s*** and blood catfish bait nuggets and stuck 2 of them on the intake for my a/c so wehn i turned it on i got a blast of stinky air
