I've never heard of battery registration before. What's this?
You might not say that if you ever owned a BMW whose expensive AGM battery lasted close to ten years. Battery management systems work, but if they do add cost.I have an idea. Let's add a bunch of useless technology to our cars.
I might not say that, but I can say, this this new CX5 will likely be my last high-tech vehicle. You might not say that if you ever owned a BMW whose expensive AGM battery lasted close to ten years. Battery management systems work, but if they do add cost.
Well with a name like "GrampaSlade", it sounds like it may be your last vehicle period!I might not say that, but I can say, this this new CX5 will likely be my last high-tech vehicle.
As far as a new one goes, that's truer than you know. This summer, my goal is to go back to the old style cars. Electric seats, electric windows, auto dimming headlights, glass smooth ride, finger light steering and room to stretch out. Something in the 60's era Caddy.Well with a name like "GrampaSlade", it sounds like it may be your last vehicle period!
What you just described most certainly does not sound like a '60s era Caddy, except for the room to stretch out comment. As far as a new one goes, that's truer than you know. That's phenomenal battery life. But knowing how small Mazda OE batteries are, I would have replaced them by now to be on the safe side. Both my 2016 MX and my 2016.5 CX are still using the original OEM battery. We're talking at least 8 years old now, perhaps 9, and both are still doing the job just fine.
Cadillac was way ahead of the pack with luxury. What you just described most certainly does not sound like a '60s era Caddy, except for the room to stretch out comment.
On my 2014 Touring I replaced the factory (Panasonic) battery at 5 years and 8 months old because it was cranking slower than I liked @30*F in November at the onset of winter. The battery itself was actually ~6 months older due to the car's manufacture date. My driving is predominately "local" so mostly short trips. Started fine for the last 5 winters so it couldn't have been too much undercharged from short trips.depends on drive style and climate. Usually can last 5-6 yrs but some people buy crossover and go grocery shopping with it or just city driving short distances. Thst doesnt charge the battery properly and Eventually it dies due to frequent undercharging .
The problem on the cx5 is also the regulated charging mode it has preset from the computer. It uses the ford stupid logic for 13.7 +\- for economy.
They were road yachts. Luxury on wheels.Cadillac was way ahead of the pack with luxury.
