Well speaking of these devices I am getting installed the Viper 791XV with remote start. It will page me when the alarm is going off so even if I'm not in hearing distance of the alarm it will notify me. The transmitter has a very long range on it too so it should be effective.

really hope that link works. basically its a car alarm with 2 camera's in its service. when the car is disturbed and the car alarm picks it up, it takes a pic of the thief(either passenger or driver) and sends it to your remote. I understand it can also be uploaded into your computer. If you can couple this with a engine deactivation switch that'll turn off the engine 5mins after illegal activation i'd say your car is pretty safe.you could just buy the brake/clutch club bar and spend like 30 bucks and on top the car alarm
