Can't find Flash in NH

I just can't believe that there is any MSP dealer that doesn't know about, and doesn't have the new flash program for the ECU. I bought my car at Talirico Mazda in Manchester in July. I waited until Oct 1st, thinking that that would give them pleanty of time from when it was released. When I asked them, they had no idea. I asked them to check, and they admitted that a fix was coming, but it wasn't released, they said that they would get it .

I called a week later, nothing, I had to repeat the whole story again. I got frustrated, and called Grapone Mazda in Concord, same thing, they claimed to know nothing.

Please if anyone knows where to get it done in NH, or northen MA, let me know. Thanks

Ask for the manager at Talarico, his name is either Jim or Tim, I can never rember. Tell him Craig with the MP3 and Black P5 told you to talk to him. He is in charge of the service and sales now. If he is unresponsive call me and I will have a chat with him too.

Exlpan what the flash is to him, that its just a computer program reload that should take no serious amount of time and that it is to fix your hesitation problem. If they say they don't have it bring a cell phone and mazda customers services phone number. If they say they didn't get the flash call MCS right there and then.

Let me know how it turns out.

Thanks 1st MPS in NH. I went over to Talirico, and asked for Jim/Tim, but he was out. I asked the lady at the service desk, and she said that they have requested the update but not received it yet.

That's when I called Mazda as you recommended. I told the whole story to the lady at Mazda, and she said that the DCF for the ECU had to be shipped to the dealers, the dealers cannot download it. I asked how long it takes from when the dealer asks for it until they get it, and she said that she didn't know. I mentioned that other dealers have been doing this for months.

Anyway, to make a long story short, I'm just going to stay in their face until I get it done. By the way, the lady at Mazda told me that there have been two releases, one in late august, and one several weeks ago, she had no more detail than that.

if you need it done terribly and don't want to deal with all of that there are dealers in ct/ma that will do it no problems

I would believe tham some as they haven't sold alot of MSPs yet and they don't have a service manager after all the BS over the last few years. Its possible they slip through the cracks. Also they are right that the dealers are sent a CD that has the flash data on it for the computers. However they should have gotten that by now.

With all my time online I have NEVER seen or heard of a flash that came out in august.

Keep me posted. I will go and yell at them if need be

My dealer downloaded the falsh the day it was released. There was no CD or anything like that, He went into the system and downloaded it while I waited. Then they flashed my car.

I got mine done at Autex Mazda about a month ago. Took em a while to figure it out, but they know about it at least.

Autex in Keene did mine I also do know that the program code listed on my paperwork is different than the one listed in the Everything Flash ECU etc thread
