I was going to get the Tenzo-R Mean 6's but I found out that they weren't the right offset for the Pro5.Can you guys give me some ideas??I am looking for 6 spoke rims with fairly thick spokes in silver in 17".:D :D

I'm looking at the RacingHart C6's (Think thats what they are called) A simple, clean, 5 spoke design. And not thin spokes, I personally dont think thin spoked wheels look good on the Protege5.
I'd also like to go 18's but if I do I HAVE to drop it or it'll look odd, then my ride would be horrible. Lowered with 35 series tires....ugh!...but looks sooo good!

For Starters...

Why don't you try www.tirerack.com and www.discounttire.com? Both have interactive display programs that will show your car in it's proper color in profile & then you can see what wheels they have that will fit your car and how they look on that car and color. It may not be everything, but you know those wheels will fit and it's a starting point. Jim

be careful with tirerack or tires.com. they are both good places to see what looks good on your car but they will sell you rims that won't fit. if you plan on lowering you car i think you need to talk to rishie. he has all the fitments for the P5 and give forum members great deals. check him out before you buy anything.

I just bought these and should have them on by the weekend and will post installed pics then. They are ADR Sokudo10s in Gunmetal with a +48mm offset, 17x7. These will be a perfect fit even when lowered with Spoolin's Springs.

Hey MP5Raycer how is the ride on ur P5 with the 35series tire..
i wanted 18's but i dont want to ruin the ride too much. Also does the car look odd without the drop..or does it still look sweet>?
Thanks

If you are planning on lowering your car and going with 17s then you should go with wheels with an offset of at least +45 . And make sure the tire size is 205 vs 215s.

I had wheels with an offset of +40 and they rubbed. If you really like a certain wheel but it has the wrong offset you can always get them machined.....

forget that ... who wants to pay..

al that money for wheels and them have them weakend by machining them ..I mean .. just simply get the right wheels and you wont have any problem .. and when i got my wheels I was told by 3 differant companies and also the Mazda corp. that the only size of 18 inch tires you can run on the Mp5 is the ones I have 215/35/18 .. and to repy to Chicken soups question .. the ride is great but of course with 18's you need to be very careful with pot holes and big bumps ....since you have almost no protection for your wheel ..and the wrong move will be a very costly one ... and I run the s*** out of my car but when it comes to the road I am like an eagle I watch for everything ... so thats just me .. now as for as it not being dropped .. well i would love to dropp it .. but I promised my wife I would'nt since my last ride i blew all four struts and it was like riding with no suspension at all all you heard was "bang, clank, bang, boom," so ... I was alot told that if you run 18 inch wheels and tires on the Mp5 and want to give it a decent drop you will have to fold in the rear lip that is located in the inner rear fender .. so your tires wont rub and doing that will take hours and hours of extreme patients and when trying to fold the lip you have a very good chance of either buckeling the fender and or spliting the paint on the car ... so if i do lower my ride I will only go for a little lower then factory or right at factory hight .. I think the Eibach Pro Kit gives the perfect drop with not sacrificing the smoth ride .. so just be aware that it is a posssibility that you may run into these issues . also here is another pict of my ride from the side .... i personnaly feel like it reminds me of those Jeep eagles ..LOL

Well I just looked up my Classis Red Pro5 on tirerack.com and non of them really appealed to me except the Sport Edition Fox 2s .So I guess I can wait on the rims and tires.
