Can you buy replacement headlight retainer clips?

I am looking for 2 new headlight retainer clips that hold the head light bulb in place. The little metal bar. Can I buy these separate from the headlight?

I cannot find them there, but I just noticed that I am missing the rubber covers, so I guess that's why my lighting is very bad in my low beams, water spray getting inside the projector lens. Now, how to clean that out. Also, I still need to find new clips. I may just order 2 new TYC headlights off ebay.

I would try the local pick-a-part first the 5 and the 3 used basically the same headlights so there should be no shortage of the bits you are missing.

the answer is no. not new anyway. you could find them at a junkyard though. definitely look for 5's and 3's as they are likely similar. the protege5 also uses and h7 bulb with a similar spring clip to hold the bulb in perhaps its a similar shape??

I'd be worried about the CD plastic melting under heat and your headlights slipping out. I found this thread that suggests that European Headlights also use the same clips and we'd be able to use the same one. I can't post the link since apparently we can't link to that forum?

The part number links to http://www.ecstuning.com/ES310758/ which looks similar - you probably could bend it to fit. Anyone try this? Maybe the replacement clips would be easier to use. I had to snip the ends off the Mazda clip to get it to reinstall.

Google "spring retainer for h7 bulb" and you may be able to find something you can modify to fit.
