I have a Mp3, I want cams, but not the Mazdaspeed or J-Spec cams, is there anybody out there, like ex... perfworks, hi-boost, ion, spoolin',etc.... that kind grind some custom cams that will provide outstanding power gains or more than the mazdaspeed and J-spec cams but will also be turbo friendly later on if I plan on going turbo?
Just let me know, what kind of prices am I going to be looking at.

first, do a search.

second, get your head flow tested.

third, call up webcams and tell them your flow numbers and your goals. they will then tell you want kind of grind you want.

start looking and asking around your area for performance shops that do engine work. tel them what you want to do with your car, and find out what kind of experience they have.

Sunbelt performance which builds the speed challenge proteges was suppose to come out with 3 sets of strret cams. they range from 400 to 600 dollars. Plus to get all the power you need to buy the adjustable cam gears which they design for tripoint. They are located in Georgia. The cam gears are 200 to 300 dollars for the two. The cam pricing is for the pair. Also find a machine shop sometimes they do regrinds. Some one listed a while back the durations of the stock cams and the mazdaspped jspec intake and exhaust cam. I am in the process of getting custom cams myself. I am test and tuning then going back for more.
