Heheheh i`m glad i haven`t messed around with my exhaust system,i don`t think i will either after reading this lol thanx![]()
had a tbe for 8k still no cel and no smoking.
but after gettin the tbe, i hear a loud pop coming out from my exhaust when i go to 6k at 1st gear shifting into 2nd gear. is this normal. My car sound like a rally car when it does that. I wonder if a small flame comes out too. it's pullin hard when it does that. I can do this on command too. It happens from a stop or from a roll, just between 1st and 2nd shift.
maybe this was answered already but, to the owners with turbo problems, are u switching to synthetic oil after the first oil change? i was really surprised when the dealer told me they used non synthetic for their oil changes. the oil pressure there might be whats causing the seals to go bad.
If you can afford it, there is almost nothing better than royal purple (and I say almost because I know not everyone will agree). Look at it this way, it's $6-12 for each oil change extra to use the royal purple over the penzoil platinum. Even if you are changing every 3 months, thats between 2 and 4 dollars a month bump to get the good stuff.
Good choice staying with the royal purple!
Easy, ff all the oils mentioned are way better than standard oils. And to call bulls*** on Amsoil or Redline or the purple royal is a bit much if you have read up on film strength breakdown etc. Wait I need a beer too...
Ahh the royal green! Not in the mood for a beer.... breaking out the Absinthe
Some additives in oils are less or more suited to turbocharging seal pressures and temperatures. I imagine my seals will go right after my warranty expires. I am at about 25,000 now. Also I have some mods that folks think should send turbo into fail mode. Nope not yet and the car is driven to it's potential regularly. Was just into Mazda for the fuel pump upgrade and all went well. Very nice folks.Ok can we get back to the topic of smoking turbos rather than a "my oil is better than yours" debate.
Ahh the royal green!
