Calipers

hey the color of my car is titanuim grey and i wanna do my calipers...u guys got ne idea of wut color to do...im gonna b gettin blk rims with a chrome lip in the future so i want it all to look good...

im sure there a thread for this but cant find it lol

that is completely subjective. some here have orange(allymazda), others have red.

it all depends on what you want. hell you can't go wrong w/ red, its the standard.

I did mine two-tone--black mounting brackets with red calipers and white decals (see avatar and below link). If you're gonna have black rims with a chrome lip then maybe painting the calipers black with chrome decals would be pretty cool! The black calipers will stand out nicely on the shiny rotors. Oh! And remember to paint your rotor "hats". It makes a big difference! I painted the calipers of my wife's Mazda 6 black and added silver decals (check out the attached pic).

Burnout X is right, it really depends on what you want... A lot of owners seem to paint their calipers the color of their interior whether it be blue or red. Ally does a nice job of trying something different with her orange and really makes it work for her car as a secondary color to her white. I was ordinary and used red.(shrug)

Here's the link to the thread when I did mine:

The link for the decals is in that thread. Just e-mail them and ask for ones for a Mazda 3 and they'll send them to ya! $7.99, I believe for a whole set!

Good luck! And show pics when you're done!

i think a nice red would do the trick. or yellow. sand down the calipers real good, put one light coat on, wait ten miu=nutes another light coat, another ten minutes then a medium coat. wait three hours then a light coat of clear coat, then a medium coat of clear 10 mins after that. u can drive it 3 hours after that. good luck :)

i also went black. i know over time different colors bneed to be kept clean while my black ones will never need to be touched for the most part. yellow will brown and discolor quickest....excluding white ones. idk....i say go with basic black. looks good and makes your eyes hit the rims not the calipers which is what i want becuase i spent 5 dollars on the paint for the calipers and a large amount more on the rims. lol.

well its not hard to clean ur calipers. just take a wet cloth and wipe em off
