CAI and Exhaust in Calgary

Hey everyone! I'm new to the forum but just to let ya know. I have just got all the paper work done and am now waiting to get my new 2007 Mazda 3 GT sedan with the luxury package. I owned a msp 2003.5 in the past but never modded that car. I would love to put a CAI and a new exhaust to open things up and give it a more throaty sound. Could someone please tell me what CAI and exhaust works well with this car, and also a place to buy them in Calgary? Thanks! :)

I'm not sure what CAI and exhaust is good for the Mazda 3 as I have a Protege 5 but I do know a good place to do the reasearch then buy. Give Andy at Tunerworks a call 398-9833. Tell him Mike from the Condo sent you.

I'm not rolling in a Mazda 3, but on my Protege5 I am running a K&N Typhoon intake I got off Ebay for $99 US, which I feel works really well. I have seen this same intake at Kramer for $450. As for Exhaust I'm sure others will have a better opinion. I was able to grab a slightly used Cat-Back system (Brandname???) for $64 that bolted right on and sounds great. I added both of these mods in the same week, and felt a real power increase. Not sure how much, but the power seems to build a lot faster and there is more of it.

Injen seems to have decent CAI systems, but only because I have seen them around a bunch. They also seem pricey though.

Check to see if Tanabe has an exhaust. My Tanabe touring on my protege5 is very quiet.

sunridge

Sunridge mazda has a m3sport with a intake and exhaust on it. Looks and sounds good. I saw some in there parts department also.

I have a Mazdaspeed cold air intake and it made a big difference. It cost me about $430.00 for the intake and 2 hours labour at $109.00/hour but i got a deal on the install,it actually took about 4 1/2 hours.
