2013~2016 Buying what is needed to get navi button working

The 2014 CX-5 touring has a navi button that does nothing. It does not have the sd card holder tray left of steering wheel or (I'm assuming) a gps antenna in the center speaker grill. I assume the original owner did not spring for this option. Is the wiring loom already run to these locations? Is there a kit available to enable this? Is any coding required for this to work? A lot of questions so I will thank you in advance for your help!

If you have no SD card reader in the car, either to the left of the steering wheel or in the center console cubby to the left of the USB ports, it's going to be very expensive to install the required hardware. You'd be better off just using your cell phone for nav.

I tried to go down this road. Once you price everything out, you're going to find that it's going to be far cheaper (and better!) to get a good aftermarket deck that has CarPlay or Android Auto. I run a Kenwood, but Alpine, Sony, Pioneer, and JVC also make good quality decks.

Plus, with the aftermarket deck, you can easily add a backup camera, and if you choose a deck that is compatible with the iDataLink Maestro RR, you'll even get full gauges, right on the headunit!
