22.5k should get you a sport, i think out the door for 23k or about 23.5 with TTL and all that crap is ok, i guess. ... i got mine for less, but i really worked on them, i did a good bit of research... and wasn't going to pay what they wanted for the car, simple as that. and i got the 100k warranty as well.. i had a good down payment, a good trade in (oh yeah, they gave me good money for that, or i would have kept it), perfect credit, etc. etc. and i'm a bit older... and i tell them about the car, not the other way around. hehehehe... no no no.. this isn't a 2.5, guy, it's a 2.3... no no no, it doesn't make 20lbs of boost stock... can i talk to your sales manager, please?
actually took many trips to the dealer(s) i went to to finally get a deal i was happy with... be an ass... tell them to make money on the next guy, or your going to (insert name of other dealer or make of car here) down the road, where they want to sell you a (other favorite car), that you really like better... and there are things you don't like about the speed3 (in other words... lie, lie, lie... hell, they are! i consider it a fibbing contest, and i like to win!) i always make them think they are losing the sale.. which they are, as far as i'm concerned...
ask them what they are going to do to keep you from going to (insert name of other dealer or make of car here)? tell them you don't care what the car is worth, you have a budget... and that is that... agree on the price of the car before anything else.. then work terms...
and laugh out loud a lot, and harder when you hear something silly...and say no.. or better yet, OH, HELL NO, THAT'S NOT GONNA FLY.. and NEVER be afraid to just pick up and walk out of there... in fact, you should NEVER buy a car at the first dealer/first test drive... no way!!! don't go in there with the mind set that you are leaving with a car... you are doomed!
you should walk away from the deal at least twice, IMO...and by that i mean.. go home... work on it another day. do this on your next new car purchase, and then tell me what happens.
and NO there are no 0% interest deals on this car. i got a much lower rate from a local bank, much lower than mazda would offer... i'm happy with what i paid for mine.... i smile every time i turn the key!
