Ok, after replacing my bushings approx. 12 times with the dealer, my warranty is finally up and now that it's spring again *SQUEAK*...Anyway, I know there are some fixes but I don't want to put $200 on my car because I plan on selling it soon. With that said, I read somewhere that people use grease every few hundred Miles to prevent the squeaking.

Can you tell me what kind of grease I need to use?? instructions if I have to remove the bushings or just apply it around the bushings. PS. I am a NOOB!! :o)

and i've tried the search field but there are soooo many threads about bushings.

Thanks in advance for ur help!!!

For the AXR Clunk Fix, he recommends using a marine grease. Take the bushings off, slather them up with the grease and put them back on. Should work....... for awhile.

I've used Lithium grease. It works roughly 1-3 months depending on weather/driving conditions.

Its an easy thing to do. Only 30 mins max. Its four bolts to remove and slide the bushing off. Grease. Put back. Easy.

It's been said before.. take the bushings off, take some sand paper and scratch your sway bar. Put the bushings back on and voila.

REALLY?? I've never read that anywhere...how long did that work for u??

hahaha For some reason my car does the oposit of your cars.. when it's really hot it squeeks and when it's cold it doesnt. I havent dont it yet but It's a very logical fix. The squeeking is a result of the ruber rubbing on the smooth surface, like rubbing your finger accross a clean window. I beleive the fix comes from Racing Beat itself although I'm not too sure about that... I read that a year or so ago and my car hasnt squeeked since it's been winter and now the weather is just starting to come back arround.

Well, that's my problem right now..the weather has gotten warmer so if u hear a squeak, u know I am near by. Good thing I am married because I can't pull off looking cool in this car anymore. It's like putting a ferrari picture all around a 1985 Hyundai Stellar...lol Might look good but it sounds like s***!! :o)

so u do that on a regular basis?? how often do u do it?

Every spring....last spring, I had to change the bushing + link....then this spring the noise comes back and I bring back to garage and they re-grease them for me.
