Burnout Question??

Even in my Protege5 I got gobs of wheel hop on a hard launch. I replaced my front motor mount with AWR's motor mount, and now those tires just slip nicely, then grabs smoothly once they decide to stop spinning. I've not chirped or squealed the tires very much since I got the Yokohama AVS ES100's, as the compound seems to be more suited to a nice, predicable slide rather than a squealing ripping-the-tarmac-up-and-trying-to-cling-for-dear-life that the factory Dunlop's offered. =) Those things made lots of noise if I let them slide at all!

Same experience with the Yokos, I have the same ones. Yeah, most times it's not a burnout, just a nice slide into traction.
And also in cornering it's very hard for me to make my tires squeal. I guess this is good, right?

Before the motor mount I was never able to have such a good burnout though, never.

I think it's a good thing, yeah... Next set of Yoko AVS ES100's I get, though will be 205/45R16's instead of the 50 series I got this time; The increase in lateral motion is a little more noticable than I expected it to be. At least they're wearing out nicely, rather than chopping like the Dunlops did.

anybody ever roll into a parkinglot that has a serious dip or go over something that is just way off camber with the clutch in and get a nasty sound from the, i'm assuming, limited slip? Is that normal?

Every time i try and squawk my tires it feels like the car is bouncing of the ground not soft but very hard. it makes a very loud sound and i feel it on the right side. it goes BOOM BOOM BOOM. its very rough feeling. the tires spin but not smoothly. why is that? why is that? did anyone else have this problem?? its right around 4500-5000 coming out of first like as soon as i pop the clutch.

Why are you trying to squawk your tires anyway?

Buy AWR Mounts and cure this problem if you like to do burnouts

ya deff. have this problem too.(sad) i try to lauch from diff rpms but i ether just spin the tires or get the dreaded WHEEL HOP. i guess i will have t resort to feathering until new motor mounts.(happy) is this vibrating really bad at idle with the new motor mounts and will that void worrenty or anything? i did lay a good patch when i first got the car thought. a holly s*** i cant believe i actually got this car burnout.(dance)

What company sells the best motor mounts I have the worst bounce it sounds like the fking motor is going to drop out

ya i have the same question. also is the vibrating really bad at idle or no? also do i have to worry about voiding worrenty?
