Burning MP3 files for CX-7 with Nav

Hi,
I'm new to the forums and I haven't read EVERYTHING yet, but thought I'd post this to help. If it was already addressed I apologize.

I have been burning MP3 CDs successfully for use in the Tech package CX-7 but it took a while to figure out. The problem isn't the CD palyer in the CX-7, it is Windows Vista based computer. Whne you burn a CD or DVD in a Windows Vista machine, it formats the disc for use ONLY in a Windows Vista machine. Therefore when you try to play it in the CX-7 etc. it will not read.

It is easy to correct. When you put your blank disc in the drive, the computer asks you to name it and format it. Click on the format options button and choose MASTERED format. Then format & burn as usual. The MP3 files will now play in your Mazda. This may explain the "hit or miss" effect I have read in several posts. Hope this helps..
Mathias...

P.S. Being able to burn 100 plus songs per cd sure takes the "Grrrr" out of not being able to rig an Ipod.
