Bulbs changed!

so... me and jeremy (mp5raycer) were out messing around and desided to change all my bulbs in my car from amber to super white, lemme tell ya looks completely different and very sweet.
we changed
dome lights
sidemarkers
liscense plate
front turn signals
i already had super white headlight bulbs
reverse signals, they were white but alot brighter now.

but we drove all around town looking for the rear turn signals to make them white.. NOT ONE DAYUM PLACE carries the py21w bulb in super white for the rear turn signals, I have looked around on the net and there no were to be found... if anyone knows were i can pick up a set of super white py21w rear turn signal lights pls post a link.

Also, any mp3's or regular protege's 01 - 03 out there with a set of stock taillights laying around, the msp rear tails have a pinkish tent to them, i'd like to find a set that are just clear. If anyone is looking to get rid of them cheap im definately interested... more than likely i'll be going carbon fiber tails maybe... not sure..

i'll try to get some batteries for my digi cam and possibly post some pictures...

2 questions, how much does it cost for all the bulbs and is it illegal to change the color?

I've looked around for those bulbs too, but no where. However, in my research I found that those bulbs are made special to only be amber. What you can do is this: get an 1156 (or an 1157, whichever is the one witht the single filiment) in super white, and clip off one of the locating pins on the side of the socket. The bulb will then fit into the socket, and BAMM super white turn signal!

I just put mine in last night also, and I agree. I think they are brighter than the PIAAs I had in my Accordand are currently in my wifes Accord.

can u post a pic or link to what the rear turn signal bulb looks like and i can prob help ya out on where to find a replacement. cause i helped my buddy change out every single bulb possible in his P5 to hyperwhite and it looked great.

The turn signal bulb in the back of the sedan is the off-set pin type.

it may be illegal in your area im not to sure in tennessee u can have any color turn signal. when i lived in maryland u couldn't have red or blue turnsignals they had to be amber or white.
the price totalled out to just under 20 bucks i think.
im gonna have to try what he said about cutting off one of the connectors and trying it that way.

its a round bulb up to single connector at the bottom but the pins on the side are like pigeon towed there not 50 50 split there offset i have only seen them in amber at the shops.

this is a specialized bulb that only comes in amber. i believe it is a 1156A? like RYAN has said it is an offsetted bulb. i have fitted in polarg 1156 red bulbs inside (chrome on the outside, red when lit) with minimal modification. just needed to shave a little bit inside of the connector to get the pins to slide in. haven't had any problems. work just fine.

yes you can get 1156 in hyper white.

i changed all of my bulbs the day after i got my p5 and it does make a world of difference. the orange just doesnt look good, especially on my white p5.

also, be sure to buy hyper white bulbs of the same specs as the stock orange. otherwise you could have a problem. and it wont be covered under warranty because it would be your fault.
