BuddyClub2 ...price, fitment, opinions, etc.

[First Car...P5]

Where is the cheapest place online to purchase the BuddyClub2 full body-kit for the P5?
I've heard that the kit fits perfectly from some people and that the kit needs some fabricating done from others... (confused) So how's the fit?
Other opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt get the buddyclub kit. It looks really nice but it cracks so easily. Plus it costs around $900 and for fiberglass I dont think its worth it.

Will let you know in a couple days. Its being put on my car right now. My car is a sedan though. There are probably other members on this board that can give you opinions, but so far I've only heard negative ones. I think it took around 3 weeks to get mine. PM me if I forget to post.

better hope no large rocks, high curbs, speedbumps, or idiot friends get near that thing, or you're going to be paying up the ass for repairs to the kit.

not to mention they rarely fit right.


it might look good, but for the price and hassle, so not worth it.

the Wings West kit is the only eurathane kit I know of for the protege. I like how it looks on the p5. It is also cheaper.

IMO I think this kit fits well on the car. Getting anything 'custom' you cant really expect it to fit perfectly. But each to their own.

i took the dive and got the sides -- there not on the car cause they dont fit
so unfortunetly i am going to be one of the ones to pay to have it fitted on the car -- reason being -- is im not fond of the WW or the MB -- this is the only one that i thought would look good -- Just my opinion -- we all differ ---

mine will be a little stronger cause the under inside will be sprayed with the bed linere stuff that they us on trucks --- added strength --- so good luck and me as well ---

Aww this is sad to hear. I've always wanted the buddyclub2 kit on my MSP but it doesnt seem so great now. Is it really that fragile? I have no experience with body kits yet.

Also this is a little offtopic but can anyone point me in the direction of some more kits. I've had a hard time finding more options.

just so you know -- i went to 3 different body shops and they didnt feel comfortable charging me what would be needed to make them fit right --- but said they would do it if i like --- and that was regular body shops, im looking for a custom shop that might have better experience with something like this and might be cheaper --

BUT -- get this ---- they ALL had also said that these pieces are in better shape than alot of others they have seen ---- go figure (uhm)

body shops will do anything if you give them enough $$$. And some kits out there have a really crappy fit and are cheaply made...so Im sure theyve seen worse off ones then the BC2. Im suprised at what I am hearing about the kit. My friend Bobby has it on his Sedan and I think it looks great. Its so clean. But then again I hear people telling me that they onderground kit fits like crap too..I have the kit I think it fits great. theres a gap under my headlight and the hood sticks out a little farther then the grill but its not that noticeable and its not hellacious. I'll also have you know that I lost a rim a week or 2 back and the car LANDED and was LAYING on the side skirts and front end...the kit didnt so much as crack...my fender got messed up.

Fiber glass isn't so hard to fix, if its small. I've gone and repaired my replica fiber glass autoexe lip, and you wouldn't even know that it was split in half. Spent probably a total of $20 for the bondo fiber glass resin, sand paper, and primer.

Unfortunately fiber glass is weak and it'll either break or crack easily, so you do have to be really careful. I've recently drove the lip into the ground because of a really steep slope, and while you can't see any damage from the outside, the bottom is all scratched up and there are pieces of the lip that torn off. And I just got that damn thing repainted a month ago.

Don't quote me on this but, wouldn't fixing urethane be more expensive than fixing fiber glass?
