Has anyone upgraded there lines to the stainless steel one from corksport? Im currently looking into this upgrade and wanted to know the results. I also wanted to know if anyone upgraded there break fluid as well to a higher DOT level.

I am planning on doing this in the next couple of weeks. There are some people on the "other" forum that have done this and have been happy with the results.

I think you meant brake lines, not break lines, right?

I think we all know what he means! Way to bust his balls though. I too am interested in changing out my Break(brake) lines in the near future and would like to know if this is a worthy upgrade?

Just be careful that any replacement brake lines are DOT legal, many are not. Also be careful with the DOT level of the fluid. A higher level may not be compatible with your existing seals and lines. Higher does not always mean better, just different. You would not want to break your brakes.(rlaugh)

The MS3 has excellent brakes that have won the praise of many automotive journalists. Why would you want to change anything? Are you road racing?

The breaks(rofl2) are very good, however stainless lines and a solid feeling pedal would make them even better. Just like any upgardes on this car, your just making a rad car even better.

Ill be doing mine shortly as well. As pointed out, make damn sure they are D.O.T. rated... The important aspect of the D.O.T rating is the expansion of the silicone lining in between the stainless. Also it would be a good time to flush the fluid and get some ATE Super Blue in there, great fluid. I will also be adding speedbleeders to the mix as

As far as I know there are two kits out there for us, Goodridge and Corksport. Personally I would go with the goodridge since thats kind of their specialty. Both are made to DOT specifications. Protegegarage carries both kits.

As far as my understanding, dot 3 and dot 4 brake fluids are the same except dot 4 has a higher boiling point (and thus is more expensive.) dot-5 is the one you have to watch out for b/c its really not compatible with most cars and can destroy the brake lines.

Ive had them for about 8 months, well worth the $$$s. it mainly makes a difference when you are hard on the brakes, although the initial bite is a little bit better, day to day driving around the city, you prob wont notice it much, but driving hard you do.

Hey, thanks for all the advice. Plus yes i cant spell for beans... The current DOT fluid in our cars is level 2. right? SO would switching to either 3 or 4 make a difference?

I believe its dot3.... dot4 has a higher boiling point, and stay away from dot5, it can damage the braking system
