Bov question

So I have to replace the waste gate on my car and from the looks of it the factory BOV. What I am wondering is if this would be a replacement (see link) or if there is a better option, I don't have the money do to a FMIC right now but don't want to have to deal with a boosw leak either.

That will work as will the Forge replacement BPV. Thats what I had before I went FMIC/HKS BOV and it worked great. Made the turkey louder though.

My next question, how do I block off the little J pipe that hooks up to the stock BOV?

Technically the stock valve is a Bypass Valve, BPV. The Forge BOV that replaces the stock valve includes a plug that blocks off the port on the intake tube. The Forge BPV is the same size and shape as the stock valve and uses the stock silicone hoses for the BPV. I say upgrade to an ebay FMIC kit and get a real BOV.

My plan is to do a FMIC is the spring when I have the money. I am guessing you are talking about a universal kit on eBay? I was looking at an alter customs FMIC awhile back but dont know if they are still around.

Yeah I meant the ebay kit, that's what I have and I couldn't be happier. Also the HKS SSQV BOV i've got is probably the coolest thing on my car and what I like most about driving it.

What size intercooler are your running, and did you buy the intercooler pipping seperate from the intercooler? Could you point me in the direction of the one you buy?
