Bought it, drove a week, killed it

My little sis is looking at dannyboy's yellow MSP. I'm trying to tell her to buy it and I can swap all my N/A stuff and take all her MSP parts and install them. That way her insurance will be cheaper, since it doesn't ahve a turbo. lol
End threadjack

If you do pullies, do lightwieght pullies, not UD.

Okay here is what you'll need:

- Full turbo kit
- Forged engine block
- Reinforced transmission

Shouldn't be a problem for the mechanic.

wow, sorry you had to learn a lesson the hard way. I too would love to know how in the hell you get insurance to cover that! I was gonna invite you to the dragon with the Carolina Mazdas guys, but I doubt you'll be ready to roll tomorrow. keep us updated with the rebuild!

o god, right there is prolly my single biggest fear with a cai, sorry to hear it bro
Definitely my biggest fear. I have a co-worker tell me ahead of time if any of the roads to work are flooding before I head to work. LOL!
The insurance company is gonna pay, despite the CAI. I'm kinda surprised, but I'll take it.

My mechanic has ordered a motor with 85k on it from a broker he uses in GA, and it will come with a 6 month warranty. He told me that he'll do anything I want while he's in there and charge the labor to the insurance co.

I'm thinking;

Motor mounts- Kinda confused on this one. Stock are crazy expensive and seem to have durability issues, but the aftermarket ones seem to transmit a lot of vibration. Any suggestions on what route to take here for a DD car with a baby?

Timing belt and tensioner
Replace EGR valve/gasket
Replace clutch- Exedy stock from PG
Drive belts- Gatorback
Thermostat
Go back to stock intake- anyone wanna K&N Typhoon CAI?

Other suggestions while he's in there. No turbos!

Thanks
Wow. I'm glad you got the insurance company to replace it. That's awesome. Sucks you had to learn the lesson the hard way...But cool that you can replace it.

PixieMama whats up!, where you been?

Buahaha nothing much, just biding my time until i go home, 4 more months!

I thought you were coming home next month? I bet your P5 is missing you with all those parts waiting for you. I'm on the hunt for my next project. I know what I want & what finances will allow & they don't see to mesh at the moment. :(
