MY DAMN MUFFLER FELL OFF!

I have the cat back bosal exhuast and on the way to work today the weld at the muffler which was totaly eaten up gave way and I ended up dragging my muffler. It was only hanging on by the exhuast hanger. I had this exhuast ofr 6 months!

Besides looking like s*** this thing is complete garbage and all the welds, joint, and bolts rust out.

ITS A PIECE OF s***!

Do yourself a favor and don't buy it!

Your in Ca try NE where we have incredible humidity, salt and redicoulous hot to cold swings, this thing just doesn't hold up.

Not to mention yours being ok does nothing for the fact that mine is in my back seat and not still attached to the car!

That sucks...I guess the road salt killed the thing. Look at it this way: Now you have an excuse to go exhaust shopping. R/B? HKS? Mazdaspeed? I've got the Mazdaspeed axel-back, and I like it a lot, but I heard a guy with the HKS and it sounded saaweeeet!
That DOES suck, though.

I was thinking of getting the BEGI down pipe, high flow cat and then bend a 2.5" exhuast with borla muffler.

You are like the 4th person I have seen this happen to. It happened to Jag61180 also. I soon will have a high-flo cat on my car too. I love the JIC with the BEGI off-road downpipe. The turbo is like, "Gimme what you got...I'm ready to spool!":D

The humidity is what killed it, but I cant say that its bosal fault. Maybe you got one with some bad welds but if not, one thing is that you dont let your car warm up or you dont drive your car far enough. When you live in a really wet environment and when you start your car, what do you have, heat! The heat makes does little moisture drop condense into big drops of water (thats why most of the time in the mornings you see cars take off from a stop light and gallons of water are pouring out the exhaust.) SO! If you dont let your car warm up in the mornings when you know that you are making a short trip or just dont drive your car far enough to let all that water evaporate, BOOM what you have is rust and your muffler breaking at the welds. I bet you 10 bucks that your muffler rusted from the inside out. ;)

Actualy I always let my car warm up, Morning afternoon night, doesn't matter It always gets to temp before I go.
Regardless of that fact BOSAL IS s***. I am not the first one and to try to back up a company's bad product with length of drive or engine warmth is retarded!
I had the stock one on for a year and a half and it didn't fall off. No one with a racingbeat, Borla, JIC, or thermal has had this problem. BOSAL is s*** plain and simple. If it can't take simple condensation when its supposed to be STAINLESS STEAL then what the hell is the point?

isnt that the company (Bosal) that was on back order with their exhaust fr quite some time?...... i know they replaced a few peoples exhaust...... did you try giving them a call? They admitted that they made some 'too fast' just to get them out. trya asearch on this board.... i know someone had theirs replaced.

So if you live in the north east than Bosal is a No No?
What other exhaust is a good way to go for the mp3?

I am getting the Borla becuase they hgave the best warrenty.
JIC has a nice setup but it costs a s*** load and only carries a 90 day warrenty.
Racing Beat has one too.

I agree, ALL Bosal products are junk!!!! I have never owned any nor do i ever plan to! YOU DO GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!(sometimes?)
