i took it to the track after i got the car tuned, ended up breaking my driver side axle on the strip after launching... i thought the car had no torque!!! :P

the axle was weak before i ever got to the track, i knew it was.

i had to tow the car, get a new axle, etc. i havent taken it back to the track yet, but i want to before i sell it. its capable of 14's... im thinking mid 14's is more then possible if i can get some god damn traction when launching. azenis are horribly for drag racing.

Damn look at that torque! ;) Why can't Honda (or the aftermarket for that matter) use VTEC to get any torque? It should be easy, even for that little of a motor. Impressive HP though (that's what good intake and head flow will do for you).

Turbos usually help. A friend of mine has the newer style SI with a Greddy kit, put down 220whp / 235 tq at 6psi.

wow, ive never seen a b16a/b16a2 actually match or have more torque then hp.

he must have had some insanely good tuning or something, cause to get that kind of torque the best way is with a supercharger, but even then ive never seen the torque come anywhere close to matching the hp.

this is something i call.... incredible.

a built b18c5 (integra type-r motor) with huge turbo... making 800+whp. insane.

" Description: This is probably the most powerful street Civic out there right now, if not, it's in the top 3 at least. Good for 150+mph trap speeds, and still daily driveable. Simply amazing... You've gotta see this one. "

but look at the torque... thats just how hondas are, boost or not. :(

and heres my favorite n/a dragster...

" Description: Skunk2 all-motor RSX goes 9.86@140mph with no turbo, no supercharger, and no nitrous. Super clean run with some nice shift work. "

because vtec comes in in the upper rpm rame(5500 to 5800) and by then your out of the torque curve

We were all very suprised when the numbers showed up the dyno computer. He has the Emanage on whatever settings it was shipped to him with. I want to think it is a K series engine in his SI. He has the egg shaped one. I don't know anything about Civics, but I do here him say K series alot.

Um you can have your vtec engage earlier than that. The only stipulation to make power is having a cam profile that works at low rpm

You haven't lived until you've heard a B-series go 8000+. I love the way those things sound.

True.

i really need to film my car.... or at least post a sound clip. i needs a damn vid camera.

I know of plenty of turbo'd b-series with more torque than hp...put a tiny ass turbo on there and it gives it lots down low...but can't flow anything decent at high rpm....='s more torque than hp...

But great numbers man...you are already way over 100bhp/liter (hell it comes right on that from the factory)...which is always awesome...
