CONGRATS.....as far as boosting with a stock set up, i wouldnt recommend it....supporting mods first (dp/exhaust, intake, SMIC/FMIC) then you are safe....

Everyone says the stock rods are good for up to about 9.5-10psi. But not without the supporting mods....but eh if you can afford to rebuild then boost away:)

i wouldn't suggest more than 9psi on a stock motor.

i sure as hell hope those aren't stock tires on those stock rims in the snow

I'm going go go as far as saying I wouldn't go more than stock boost on a stock motor. Supporting mods first. The production variations from car to car on the MSP are insane...what is perfectly safe for one MSP will throw a rod in another instantly.

Intake, downpipe, colder plugs, and 93+ octane...then 9psi will almost surely be safe.

be safe, have fun. Supporting mods, and keep boost low. These cars are fast as is. We all want to go faster, but get some more mods before even putting on that boost controler.

by the way, your car looks just like mine in these Minnesota blizzards.

thank you so much, i think i gonna add 1+ to the stock psi. i hope that will be safe.
By the way, it happened after i woke up (boom05) ,,,,I was liek omfg.....stuck in the snow for 30 mins.
I think some of the members are watching Initial D ....the sticker is from that AE86

agreed (yes)

you do know that the stock tires are summer tires only, right ? you'll be slippin' and slidin' around if you don't put on some winter tires

I know that, 100% accident guaranttee on snow...but it wasnt snowing at night. It happed on Mt charston. I am still alive...

Damn all this talk about dont raise your boost kind of makes me laugh that I have been a lucky one to recieve my exact car. 10psi, spiking to 11psi with; flash, hardpipes, and cone filter

Maybe the extra heat is causing him to run richer so 10 w/ 11 spike isn't hurting the car as much. I'd rather have a smooth 9psi over a rough 10 though.

if u put a cone on that plastic pipe u'll loose 11 whp. dont do it.
cone vs. stock, stock is better.

now if u do a short ram or a CAI, then that's another story.

congrats on the car, vegasMSP was a cool guy.
he's still somewhere here on the boards.
