boost cut

does anybody know how to disable the boost cut at 10 psi? there has to be a sensor somewhere that you can fool or unplug. I don't want to go much over 10 psi about 12 or 12.5 psi. right know i just instaled my avcr boost controler and boost cut around .87 kg/cm2 (12.37 psi) which is where I want it at but it doesn't always cut that high some times it's lower. it would be nice to be able to run that high all the time. I have to play around with the avcr some more, I might be getting some boost spikes and thats why it's cuts sooner I think.

Is our turbo able to handle 12.5 on our STOCK internals? I read on www.mazdausa.com in the performance section that they made it go to 6.9 psi so they didn't have to mess w/ the internals of the engine... (which is the same as the P5 I think?)

Edited: There is a fuel cutoff programmed into the computer after 10 PSI. Dunno if there is a way to get around this. good luck, and i wouldnt boost past that anyways, the stock internals, and tranny probably could not take it.

I think you can only use a boost controller to get a few more PSI fooled past the wastegate.
12.5 is too much without modifying the wastegate I think.
I'm trying to determine what wastegate we have, I would rather spend $40US on a spring to get 9.6 PSI than $300 on a boost controller to run the same boost...

Get the GReddy E-Manage system or something like that, only reason i say that piece in particular is because yesterday i put my downpayment on my GReddy E-01 and the GReddy Type S BOV and my next mod will either be injen intake or the emanage system. Later

well I adjusted the silinoid duty on my avcr last night and the boost cut is above the 10psi that the factory says. I got the boost at 11 psi it will go higher but i thought abot it and I don't want to go any higher. it's amazing how much power difference there is. can't wait till my cust. 3" exhaust is done and the injen intake is available should notice another big gain in hp I hope

fuel cut, boost cut...

Stop it right there!!!!

HAS ANYONE IN HERE TESTED IT THAT CAN TALK ABOUT EXPERIENCE????

Please....not what you have read or heard....

the m speed has a factory boost level of 5.2 where are you people getting 6.5 or 6.9???

Blitz DC-TT 2 turbo timer/boost gauge measured in hkPa
consistant reading of .48 - .49 and that converted to PSI is
6.96 - 7.10

ABSOLUTELY NO PERFORMANCE MODS (this unit is the only mod done to this car!)

SOO, the m speed has a factory boost level of about 6.9 where are YOU getting 5.2???

EDIT: This measurement is taken at the intake manifold

I'm no Ms. Cleo, but why do I see many MSP's with screwed engines/trannys in the near future? (scratch)

lets see high boost+stock internals+no fuel controller=detonation(smash)

(scratch) last time i checked, thats bad for any turbo engine

is that 11psi constant or is it a spike??

im gettin 5.2 from a spec sheet...ill see it for myself when i get a gauge.

Just so you know, I'm not raggin on you...it's all in good nature.

What spec sheet are you looking at? Where did you get this? Can you scan it for us?

Just curious...but in all honesty, I'm not the only one who has these numbers for boost...ask anyone on here who has gotten a boost gauge and is running stock what their Boost level is at, and you will get a reply around the 7psi mark (give or take).

well when i get the money, i'm gonna do it right. forged SRP pistons and rods, rebuilt tranny, and an afc of some kind.
