Blue Tooth Question (Help)

I have a 2007 GT with moonroof 10 speaker Bose. (Bought with 17k miles)
I have a moto q phone, and when I try to link up with the Bluetooth, after I went through set up, Each time I start the car I have to go through the steps
1. set up 2. select my phone. When I turn the car off, I have to then repeat
the steps. Can somebody tell me how to make the phone recognizable each time I get in the vehicle.
I would appreciate the feedback.

Did you set the phone priority to 1 for it when you did the setup?

If so, you may need to have a firmware fix applied to the phone. I've heard of this sort of thing happening before. It was with a different vehicle, but the firmware on the phone was the cause.

This stuff varies from carrier to carrier and it may work OK with one carrier and fail with another on the same model of phone.

Well, do you have multiple phones paired up with CX-9?
If so, CX-9 only tries to pair with the 1st one automatically.
This is the same as NAVI from Lexus/Toyota as well.
Another clue may be the "auto connect" in your phone.
See if there is such an option in your Q. I have used many Moto BT w/o any
issues. I love Moto's BT over others'.

My Moto has an Auto HandsFree setting under the Car Settings menu which is set to on. Mine automatically connects to both my vehicles. Even though my phone is priority 2 in the Mazda it still hooks up automatically.

I only have one phone paired with CX-9.
However, I have two phones paired with my Prius (mine and wife's).
Now my wife is driving the Prius, so my phone is set to be the 2nd on the list.
Whenever I drive the Prius, the Prius BT can't recognize my phone anymore.
I have to manually select it from display.
Glad to know that CX-9 is better in this area than Toyota/Lexus.

Intermittent tone from my speaker after pairing phone

, Hey everyone, I think I have a problem. I recently paired my wife's LG vx8300 to the bluetooth (only phone on the system), and a short time later I noticed a low decibal tone coming from the left speaker (I think even the turn signal sounds eminate from there), sounds like a faint dial tone. Initially, I thought the bluetooth was trying to connect to my wife's phone as I was driving away from the house (phone in the house with her), cause it seemed to go away about a half mile past the house. Then I found a portable bluetooth ear device in her console, and I thought removing that from the car solved the problem.

It took me a couple of tries to connect her phone to the bluetooth. Maybe this thing is looking for a second phone of the same type. I'll erase everything and repair.

But, the sound gets faint at times, and sounds like a radio playing on its last ounce of battery (almost like an electrical short), which it may well be.

Dealer (Heritage of BelAir, MD) being an ass on the phone. First word out of his mouth when I said bluetooth is "We don't work on those. You have to
call Mazda Bluetooth #, and they'll fix your problem". After he emptied his lungs, I informed him that not only will it be getting fixed if the problem is a failed component or a wiring issue, that I'll be exercising my warranty rights and I'll make sure he has to deal with the problem personally. This was the Mazda service manager.

The bluetooth number I called was a joke. They said they never heard of the problem, assigned me a case number, and told me to take it to the dealer.
Before I take it to these asses, I'd rather ask for help here first. Thanks!

Hey again, not that it matters it's an LG vx8700, the vx8300 is mine (it doesn't have bluetooth).

Manual said not to pair phone within 32 feet of other phone(s) present. So I turned off the power on my 8300 and redid her 8700 and for the moment seems to have worked. However, I know it's premature to say the problem is fixed.

Seems to happen most frequently on the first start-up of the day.

There is sound leakage through that speaker when bluetooth is on. I initially had an issue where I couldn't any audio prompts from bluetooth, and when I turned up the volume I could faintly hear the radio playing through it. They had to install a new harness to make bluetooth work, and I've never tried to see if I can still hear the radio when bluetooth is on....

In any case, the "bleeding" through was never loud enough for me to take it to the dealer.
