Just installed my blitz DTT DC. Only took about 3 1/2 hours. Not to bad for my first one. Hardest part was the soldering. 3 wires together is a pain in the ass. One problem though is that saying I only hit .47hkpa on the digital gauge at peak. Isnt' that only like 3 some psi. Can someone clear up the conversions here for me. 1psi = 14.somethin hkpa. RIGHT? Something doesn't seem right can someone please clarifly. Other then that the thing works great. Sucks I can't keep my car in gear no more though. Also my battery died after work today. I think I left my lights on though. No more beaping when you get out while the car is on. If I did leave them on they would have been on for about 4 hours. That would prob drain the battery. Thx guys

yea...you are correct about the psi being 14.5038 bars. my friend has the same problem with his blitz tt. i dont think its as accurate as a boost gauge. i would look into one of those for reading boost.

Bummer. That was the whole reason I bought the blitz one. I coulda saved some money if I would have bought them seperatly. SOB.

i think its the other way around. 1 hkpa is abouut 14.5 psi. that would make it correct - .47 x 14.5 = 6.815 psi

1 atm = 14.7 psi = 101.325024 kPa. What's hkPa?? you mean mega Pa?? then 1 atm= 14.7 psi = .101 mPa. no offense but I'm confused on the units you guys are referring to. and 1 bar = 14.503 psi=100 kPa, just like what other people are saying.

On a side track, when Blitz measure boost is it on absolute or gauge scale? absolute means 0 psi = 0 psi. and gauge scale means 0 psi = standard atm ~ 14.7 psi??? just a thought?? Any takers?

isnt that what i said 1 bar = 14.5 psi. bar = hkpa. i just didnt know what a msp boosted at stock so i assumed that was wrong since he didnt make the connection between .47bars and the corresponding psi. if that is what a stock msp boosts at then your tt is working perfectly. i drive a wrx and we boost at 13.5 psi stock so i was assuming the msp was something similar. thanks for correcting me.

I never use my alarm. I just lock it. I live in the boonies nobody will steal my car here. (knock on wood) It was always to sensitive and I never could figure out how to turn it down. I will check if it works.

thanks.

to turn it down, there is a little black box under the dash on driver side that says "CODE" on it. Turn the white knob to the left to make it less sensitive.

hkpa = hectokilopascals

It's the Metric Pascal equivalent to 1 atm. And boy, it must be warm where you are. Lately, it's been getting chillier around here and I peak at .58 hkpa...that's about 8.5 psi. And before anyone asks...nope. No MBC or EBC. Just plain old chilly weather! :D

I just installed the same tt this past weekend. It wasn't that bad. I also have a mechanical boost gauge I use with it also. They both read about the same in full boost. The blitz display turns red when I spike at full boost :rolleyes:. I needed a tt and my friend had this one lying around from his wrx. I like it. :D I have a pic of it in this thread from pics I took over the weekend.
