black tape?

just a question based mostly on opinion:

what are your thoughts on removing the black tape on the doors (around the windows) ???

one issue- not entirely sure of how good (or not) it will look in person at all angles, despite one of the user's pics looking pretty cool... my worry is that the new showing blue would interrupt the smooth travel of the eye over the cabin/roof....

second issue- i am nervous that the paint (winning blue in this case) underneath the tape will be considerably darker than the rest of the car 'cuz this is an 04 that live outside 3-4 days of the week...

any thoughts?

Well my car is black so it wouldnt matter much for me, but I like the black take. Like you said, it makes the windows appear more like one unit. Which I think looks better than a bunch of divided areas. Plus if you ever get your windows tinted, it will look a ton better with the tape still on.

I've seen it done on Proteges and it looked awful. I think it would mess up the clean side profile of the 3 sedan.

you both make good points.... i'm gonna nix the idea altogether.... keep it flowing

ZoomVT...... i cant find the guys pic again, but i'm talking about removing the black "electrical tape" material on the doors (around the "edges" of the side windows) which would reveal paint instead of just being black.....
