What's everybody got their miata wearing? Mostly Dunlop SP8000?
Mine was on SP8000 but is on a pair of Eagles now -- don't worry, I'm planning on going back after I wear this set down!:)

I've had good luck with Kumho 712s on my P5, but in the Miata I'm still on stock tires(and they're getting...thin). I'm hoping to step up to some 16 inch rims when they're completely toast, maybe with some 712s on there as well.

hehe, Then there will be some Miata rims for sale around here.:D

what kind of activities do you do in the miata? If you aren't big into autocross (don't need the MOST traction), there is NO better tire, IMO than the SO3 from Bridgestone. If you autocross, you wont find a better tire than Azenis...

If you want a decent tire, cheap, I found Toyo Proxis t1-s for $59 each online...

The toyos, so3, and azenis tend to be the top 3 tires ppl talk about.

Having driven the Azenis and now having the toyos, I'd say the SO3 gives the best all-around street/track performance.

Well, if u auto-x, have a set of extra wheels, and are allowed to run R-compounds, I'd say go for Hoosiers. A bit pricey, but a good tire nonetheless.

I've got an extra set of wheels with Kumhos on 'em now... nobody's even mentioned the Dunlops as their street tire. Is that like ancient history? Are the Toyo's better or just cheaper?

Yokahama ES100's Super Duper Quiet compared to my Kumho 712's and Toyo T1-S's.

I currently have Bridgestone RE910s. They are OK, but when pushed to the limit they have the tendency to suddenly snap into oversteer.

Sidewall too stiff?

I had Bridgestones when I first got the car (I think they were the same kind). They were fine on the street, but I wore them out auto-x'ing. I tried the Dunlops after a friend suggested them, and I thought they gripped a lot better.
