best mp3 player?

was just wondering which mp3 player is the best for the price and whatnot, also i want to be able to watch movies or shows on it.. any suggestions >?

Check out the Microsoft Zune. Nice screen, has a radio and wifi. If you are used to itunes, I say just stick to an ipod....over priced for the features, but very simple to use.

I like the size of the ipod but I've been having problems with 3 different models, problem being it not working with my home Windows XP SP2 PC. the ipod couldnt be recognized and would afterwards lock up itunes. The Zune on paper looks good, but after looking at it, it aint that big a deal, size feels bulky, controls dont feel to good compared to the ipod. A friend has the Creative Zen Vision, that one is good, I like it overall and pricewise is much better then then the Ipod. Either way, go to best buy and check them out firsthand so you get a feel for them. Good luck in getting what you want.

If you need big storage, go with the Zune. If huge storage isn't as big of an issue, can't beat the Sandisk Sansa 8GB flash model (don't feel like researching the model number...but it's their newest model...basically like an Ipod Nano with 8GB flash and plays video as well as audio and is a ton cheaper).

Yeah I agree with the sandisk sanza e-series MP3 players. Flashed based, vid playback and much cheaper than a nano. I'm getting a 2 gig one myself. The e250. through my company discount I can get one for about $90.

i just went through this. i was going to get the toshiba gigabeat S, ordered it from buy.com w/ the google checkout thing, then they sent me the wrong model. i was sick of waiting so i returned it and went to best buy to pick one out that they had in stock. for me it was between the zune and the creative vision m. the creative one was good in that it supported multiple video formats natively and if you order from amazon or somewhere online it's pretty cheap, but it's pretty thick and the display wasn't worth the trade. i went with the zune and i've had it for a week and have not been disappointed with my choice

whatever you do don't get an Ipod nano. they are a piece of garbage. I took mine back because the first time I updated the software it got ******. All I was getting was a blank white screen from then on.

Good choice, my daughter just got the e250 for Christmas and it is easy to use and for the money you can't go wrong. So far she has about 60 songs and several photos on it and is bugging for video.

Pretty stoked on my zune. yep it's a bit bigger than Ipods, but with the size you get way more screen, wifi, built in radio, Hell if you have an xbox360 you can prettymuch use the thing as a media center.

everyone forgets about creative products too. I have the microphoto which is now about a year old but still runs like new. I paid about 170 for it and it stores 8 gigs worth of music and photos. There's also the sony mylo that I thought about getting this christmas but its very small on storage. It has built in wireless with the opera internet browser and you can use it as a phone to call anyone as long as you have a nearby internet connection.

I considered a shuffle a while back. But then I decided I wanted to be able to actually select the songs I wanted to hear. Plus videoplayback can be nice as well.
